9/24/04 - 9/30/04 Ride 9/25/04 - MTF Rally and BBQ 9/26/04 - 9/30/04 - Riding around the Smokey Mountains and the Ozarks |
3275 miles for my little riding vacation. The plan was to ride to the MTF Rally and BBQ in New Castle, IN. After the BBQ I was going to head to Deal's Gap and ride around in the Smoky Mountains for a while. When I was done riding around TN and NC I'd work my way west to ride around the Ozarks in Arkansas.
I stuck pretty much to my plan except for leaving the TN mountains a day early. Hurricane Jeanne was planning to dump 3-4 in of rain in the mountain area on Monday afternoon. I decided that my riding vacation was adventure enough for me. Riding through a Tropical storm would get old real fast.
